# Requirements

To transition from Violet’s demo mode to test mode, the following requirements must be met:

**Sign a Contract with Violet**

A formal agreement must be signed between your business and Violet. This ensures compliance with Violet’s terms and conditions.

**Configure Payment Settings**

Set up and verify the necessary payment settings for your application. This includes capture, transfer, and tax-remitter settings. You can learn about these settings [here](/prism/payments/payment-settings/capture-settings.md).

The settings you configure in Test Mode will be only be used for payment orchestration in Test Mode. While enabling Live Mode, you will need to confirm these settings again.

**Add Payment Account Credentials**

Go through [Connecting a Platform Stripe Account](/prism/payments/payment-integrations/supported-providers/stripe/connecting-a-platform-stripe-account.md) and send Violet your credentials to enable Test Mode.

## What Happens After Setup?

Once these requirements are met:

* Your **platform Stripe account** will be used for payment orchestration.
* **Merchants can onboard in test mode** through Violet Connect.
* **Merchants can connect Payout Accounts in test mode** through Violet Connect. These payout accounts will be Stripe Connect accounts against your platform Stripe account. Learn more about Stripe Connect, [here](/prism/payments/payment-integrations/supported-providers/stripe/stripe-connect.md).
